Meet the Four Leading Companies Joining the Mexico Trade Mission

April 15, 2024. British Columbia, Canada. From April 22 to 27, a delegation of pioneering Canadian companies will embark on a journey to Mexico as part of a dynamic trade mission, led by CMX Partnerships Founder and President, Juan Navarro. This excursion promises to foster invaluable connections, explore new avenues of collaboration, and showcase the cutting-edge expertise that Canada has to offer.

1. Surrey Board of Trade: The Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT) supports business in Surrey and attracts business to British Columbia through a diversified service portfolio. The Surrey Board of Trade represents 6,000 member contacts, and over 60,000 employees, making it one of the top five largest chambers of commerce/boards of trade in Canada. There are 430 of them. SBOT is the region’s premier business organization with a common goal of furthering the interests of businesses in Surrey and around the world.

2. Planet Halo: We offer automatic fire suppression technologies. Our products are manufactured by a Canadian company that operates in the aerospace and related markets. The company currently has a presence in Canada, USA, Ghana, Zambia, Philippines, the UK, and soon to be established in Nigeria.

3. Global University Systems (GUS) Canada: GUS Canada owns and operates six institutional brands in Canada with campuses in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, and has two public-private partnerships between Niagara College and the Toronto School of Management and Fleming College and Trebas Institute. The GUS ecosystem also encompasses a range of educational services, resources, and solutions in the area of student recruitment, corporate training and micro-credentials. Our aim is to assist institutions and organizations in enhancing performance and adopting best practices through analysis and collaboration.

4. Miramar Group, LLC. Miramar is a privately owned investment and business consultancy firm working under a family office structure. Miramar provides capital, operational and strategic guidance, and deep multi-disciplinary expertise for private and family-owned businesses. With a core focus on identifying unique opportunities, they provide access to a range of bespoke opportunities from across the globe.

This event has been made possible thanks to the invaluable support from companies, business organizations, and governments of both countries, all united by the shared goal of promoting trade ties and further investments between Canada and Mexico.

As part of the trade mission itinerary, these four exemplary companies will participate in a series of meetings, presentations, and panel discussions with key stakeholders, potential clients and partners, and authorities in Mexico City and Nayarit state. Additionally, they will actively engage in the Mexico Business Forum and the Canada Mexico Business Dialogue, further strengthening bilateral ties and fostering collaborative opportunities between both nations.
